Tom Ro Haven is a registered non-profit providing sanctuary and rehabilitation for abused and neglected horses in Noordhoek, Cape Town. These horses become part of equine-assisted healing programs, supporting children and young adults who have experienced trauma, offering them connection, trust, and hope.

Beyond this haven, Tom Ro Haven works within underprivileged communities—providing essential supplies, education, and ongoing support to improve horse welfare and prevent neglect at its source.

Dream Out Loud Productions has been supporting the work of Tom Ro Haven since 2019.

Tom Ro Haven needs your urgent support to continue their work with neglected rescue horses, and with people whose lives are changing there every day.

Tom Ro Haven is being forced to relocate from their current pastures in Noordhoek, and is urgently raising funds to secure new premises. Without a home, their work comes to an end.

  • WATER FOR ELEPHANTS

    Donations provided direct support for elephants in Botswana to survive the drought, contributing to the creation and reinforcement of life-giving infrastructure like water pipelines, pumps, boreholes and troughs.

  • "DO UBUNTU" ORPHAN BRACELET CAMPAIGN

    In the Eastern Cape of Southern Africa, where there is an unemployment rate of approximately 70%, we empower HIV/AIDS affected women by giving them the opportunity to take control of their lives by offering employment. We teach them the necessary skills to run their own businesses and to become self-sufficient. We also pay them a living wage.

  • A HOUSE FOR MARIAM

    On a visit to Uganda in 2009, OBC founder Louise Hogarth met AIDS orphan Mariam, her four siblings and their grandmother. Since the death of their parents to AIDS, Mariam’s elderly Jjaja (granny) had been caring for the children with hardly any money. The family was living in little more than a mud shack with a sparsely thatched roof.
